1-Venous thrombosis
(1) Limb swelling:
It is the most common symptom of deep vein thrombosis in the lower extremities. Swelling generally worsens after standing or moving, and can be relieved by resting or raising the affected limb.
(2) Pain:
There is often tenderness at the site of thrombosis, which may be accompanied by soreness, swelling, and heaviness. The pain will worsen when walking or moving. Some patients may also experience muscle pain in the back of the calf, that is, positive Homans sign (when the foot is bent sharply to the back, it can cause deep pain in the calf muscle).
(3) Skin changes:
The skin temperature of the affected limb may rise, and the color may be red or cyanotic. If it is superficial vein thrombosis, the superficial veins may be dilated and tortuous, and the local skin may show inflammation such as redness, swelling, and fever.

2- Arterial thrombosis
(1) Cold limbs:
Due to the obstruction of arterial blood supply, the blood supply to the distal limbs is reduced, and the patient will feel cold and afraid of cold. The skin temperature will drop significantly, which is in sharp contrast with the normal limbs.

(2) Pain: It is often the first symptom to appear. The pain is more severe and progressively worsens. It may start with intermittent claudication, that is, after walking a certain distance, the patient is forced to stop walking due to pain in the lower limbs. After a short rest, the pain is relieved and the patient can continue walking, but the pain will reappear after a period of time. As the disease progresses, rest pain may occur, that is, the patient will feel pain even when resting, especially at night, which seriously affects the patient's sleep.

(3) Paresthesia: The affected limb may experience numbness, tingling, burning sensation and other paresthesias, which are caused by nerve ischemia and hypoxia. Some patients may also experience decreased or absent tactile sensation and become sluggish in their response to stimuli such as pain and temperature.

(4) Movement disorders: Due to insufficient blood supply to the muscles, patients may experience limb weakness and limited movement. In severe cases, this may lead to muscle atrophy, joint stiffness, and even inability to walk normally or perform limb movements.

It should be noted that these symptoms are not specific, and some other diseases may also cause similar manifestations.
